This room, now called the Salón Dorado (Golden Room), used to be the La Sabana International Airport's Diplomat Lounge. Its walls are covered by a mural constructed in 1939-1940 by Louis Féron, the French sculptor and silversmith, who lived in Costa Rica for more than ten years.The mural, with an area of 150 square meters, is made of stucco carved in bas relief and presents significant fragments of Costa Rican history going from the pre-Columbian era up to 1940, when the building was inaugurated.
The Golden Room is part of the Costa Rican Museum of Art, attracting many visitors yearly to appreciate the building and the exhibitions.

Este recinto, llamado actualmente Salón Dorado, fue la antigua Sala de Recepciones del Aeropuerto Internacional La Sabana.Sus paredes están cubiertas por un mural que fue confeccionado, entre 1939 y 1940, por Luis Féron, escultor y orfebre francés quien radicó en Costa Rica por más de una década.
El mural, que tiene un área de 150 metros cuadrados, es de estuco tallado en bajo relieve y presenta fragmentos significativos de la historia de Costa Rica, los cuales van desde la época precolombina hasta 1940, cuando se inauguró este edificio.
