A Pedestrian Crossroad can be found at the junction of Childwall Road, Church Road North and the High Street in the Wavertree area of Liverpool.

Also in this panorama you can see the Picton Clock, so called because it was designed by Sir James Picton as a memorial to his beloved wife Sarah whom died in 1879. The clock was presented to the people of Wavertree in 1884.

Picton was well known in Liverpool, the High Street that leads from Wavertree into Liverpool City centre was named after him, Picton Road; Picton Library located in the High street of Wavertree was named in his memory after his death.

The big building opposite the Clock tower use to be the Abbey Cinema, at present it is occupied by a supermarket. The Abbey was designed by the respected Liverpool architect, Alfred Ernest Shennan. It opened its door for the first time on the 4th of August, 1939, showing the "Joy of Living".
