The Slopping Lock of Ronquières, resembling a lock with huge water tanks, compensates for a difference in level of 68 meters between the reaches of the Brussels-Charleroi Canal for vessels of up to 1,350 tons.

The picture is taken on the road's level, while the canal is above us. The canal, the roads, and the tower cross at the same point but at various heights: as I did ad the "bonus" on the four pillars around, thus the title: "Bonus Roads Never Cross".
