This place, not far from my home, used to be the bottom area of a ski jumping hill. (Ski jumps up to 60 meters were done here.) The mild winters we've had the for many years (and better ski jumping places elsewhere) have made it useless for its original purpose. It is recently rebuilt as a playground for BMX biking in the summer (and ski acrobatics in the short winter).
The bad weather at the time of this event did keep the kids indoors, so sadly I could not show any of their crazy bike jumps; wet ground and high jumps are a very dangerous combination.
Hopefully the stunning colors of the surrounding nature will make it worth looking at anyway.
