The old turret lies derelict now, a victim of neglect and decay. With a colourful history, the turret is now almost completely hidden by a canopy of trees.

Its primary purpose now is to provide some curiosity for passing ramblers and shelter for the local drug dealers and the occasional desperate couple looking for some privacy.

Autumn is fast approaching and already the leaves are changing colour, my river walks prove more interesting day by day, and with each day familiar sites offer something unique.
