Color Cones

Huge colorful cones wrapped around grey stormy clouds and dark volcanic floors emerge to the south of México City.

This is a Grzegorz Kowalski (1942, Poland) sculpture named "Solar Clock". The sculpture is part of a project named "the friendship route" created for the Mexico 68 Olympic games. It forms part of the biggest corridor made of sculptures in the world with a distance of 17 km. It is constituted of 19 sculptures built in concrete created by artists from the five continents.

This piece is station number 10 and is located at the intersection of Insurgentes Avenue and the fast lane of Periferico Sur.

Envueltos entre nubes grises de tormenta y obscuro suelo volcánico, surgen gigantescos conos de colores en el sur de la Ciudad de México.

Escultura de Grzegorz Kowalski (1942, Polonia) nombrada "Reloj Solar". Es parte del proyecto de la "Ruta de la Amistad" motivado por la Olimpíadas Culturales México 68 y que conforma el corredor escultórico más grande del mundo con 17 kms. de longitud en el que se distribuyen 19 obras escultóricas construidas en concreto y realizadas por artistas de 5 continentes.

Esta obra es la Estación #10 y está ubicada en la intersección de la Avenida de Los Insurgentes y la vía rápida Periférico Sur.
