Tyulenovo is located only few kilometers away from Kamen Bryag (QTVR panorama).
"Tyulen" means seal in Bulgarian, but seals hadn't been seen in the area since the 1980s. Dolphins can be seen from the coast and they usually come nearer to the land in the early morning or late afternoon.
The caves in the cliffs were used as dwellings and nowadays backpackers set up camps inside for free accommodation.
Further on down the seaside path from Tyulenovo to Kamen Bryag there is a megalithic complex called the Rocky Monasteries. The megalith consists of tombs carved into the rock and sacrificial stones used by the ancient cult to the Sun.
You can find out more about the whole area at the information centre in Bulgarevo village and there is a display of artifacts from the Durankulak Eneolithic settlement that has recently been discovered, showing that one of world's earliest civilisations started in this region.
Find more photos of Tyulenovo and Kamen Bryag in the photo gallery of my website or in my panorama collection.
(The music is a part of the song "В морето лодка се белее", which in Bulgarian means something like "White boat in the sea". It is a Bulgarian folklore song, performed by the group "Perun".)
