At Speed on Watkins Glen Main Straight

This shot is “built” from several shots taken at the Watkins Glen Race Track in New York. It started with my fiend’s Shannon Sports 2000 car, add him in the car’s seat, then sneak onto the Track to capture the main straight image. Blend them all together add blur to the side areas to give it a “racing feel” and we have “At Speed on Watkins Glen” If Sustenance is something that helps you sustain, many people will think of food, family, work, their religion or other things that help them “sustain”. My thought on the word Sustenance is an action or event that helps us sustain, gives us our individuality and gets us away to play. Think of a day that you put on the calendar that helps you sustain the grind of life until that special day arrives. It could be a family vacation, dinner out with friends, a night out at a show, a fishing trip, etc… with me this shot is all about auto racing. After racing for about 15 years and retired from the driving, I now get to assist a friend with his racing. Once that date is picked and marked onto my calendar, it helps me sustain the normal day-to-day life until the event arrives where we are then off to the races…..
