This is the oldest original train station still in use in Seoul today.
It was built in 1939 during the Japanese occupation, and has never undergone any renovations. It is currently being considered to become a national landmark.
You'd be forgiven to think that this station is located in a small sleepy town, however it's actually tucked away in a quiet niche of a busy district in the north-east part of Seoul.
With its average of 20 passengers per day, it's not a well-known station at all. In fact while we were trying to find it, we asked an elderly man where the train station was. He looked at us and replied "Is there a train station around here?". This turned out to be just a few hundred meters away from the station...
