West Montrose Covered Bridge

The Covered Bridge at West Montrose was built in 1881 at a cost of $3,557.65 which is $360.15 over budget (some things never change). Thanks to 123 years of improved computers and accounting practices budget overruns are a thing of the past.


The first shoot on Saturday morning, Sept. 18th, is rejected. This is the second shoot taken Sunday afternoon. The "vintage car" is one of approximately 20 that passed by moments after I ended the first shoot. I continued taking photos and pasted one example from several photos into the 2nd panoarama, thus it may appear askew. Its in the exact place it was when the photo was taken, however the tripod was not. This is the season of community fairs and likely these cars are on their way to a car show. The whole scene seems so antiquated but SUVs and people with cell phones are nearby. Many mennonite families reside in this area. As I approached the site with camera in hand a one horse open buggy approached, I waved, he waved and passed on. I had hoped a second would also arrive during the shoot, but that was not the case. The Bridge and the "transportation bridges" were present that weekend.


The hardware listed below is meagre with no fisheye or wide angle lens used, and no pano-head. I shot 152 photos in approximately one hour. 73 have been entered into the model.
