Located at the northern end of the Bearskin-Hiawatha State Trail, the Minocqua trestle is one of the many bridges on this former railroad route turned recreation trail. Used by bicyclists, pedestrians and fishermen during the summer and skiers and snowmobilers during the winter, the Bearskin-Hiawatha trail was once used by trains carrying timber from northern Wisconsin to Chicago during the mid to late 1800's. Later on, northern Wisconsin, having one of the highest concentrations of lakes in the world, became the playground of Chicago's wealthy and famous. Equipment
Hardware: Photographed with a Sigma 8mm lens on Canon 10D mounted on a Manfrotto 303SPH panorama head atop an old Velbron VE-3 tripod.Software: RAW images converted in Photoshop and stitched in PTMac with enblend (of course). Final panoramas converted to QTVR using CubicConverter and CubicConnector.
