If you take a stroll through Llanes, Spain, at the entrance to the fishing port, you will find a monument to a woman dressed in traditional costume, sitting on a chair and gazing out to sea. Her eyes are fixed on the horizon. She is waiting.
The monument is dedicated to the fishermen's wives, but there were more women looking at the sea: grandmothers, mothers, sisters, daughters... and sons, and brothers, and fathers... all of them waiting. Again and again. Again and again.
Resilience.
Resilience to face life at sea.
Resilience to cope with absence at home.
To face losses, and cope with them eventually.
Life must go on.
But how can the butchered Palestinians expect that a "new day will rise"...?
And how can the Afghan women?
And how can so many other people people around the world, ignored amid the brouhaha of fake news built by (un)social media and e-factories every day?
