Two years ago, there was a huge forest fire near Bordezac. More than six hundred hectares of forest were destroyed. Already one year after, the hills were green again, and now bushes, ferns and flowers have come back. The strawberry trees in particular, a main component of the garrigue vegetation, seem to have survived the fire and are green again. They have obviously adapted in the course of their evolution.
