This is part of the interior of a historic mill that has been set apart as a state heritage site. The site originally consisted of just the building, with only a few artifacts scattered about.
Over time, however, they have greatly enhanced that collection. They’ve organized areas to display specific topics, set up informational displays, and even installed electronic displays that present additional information. All of this has caused the interior to become more like a standard museum with displays and information.
Yet, the building itself remains as the primary attraction, even more so as they have restored parts of the mill’s original functions in order to show how it used to operate.
As a result, this panorama now illustrates several types of museum spaces – the idea of a collection of artifacts and also the idea of a dedicated historical building.
Actually, this is the third WWP panorama that I've taken within this building. The first was for Time in 2009, and the second was for the Best of 2019. Each one showcased a different part of the site, although all in the same building, over a 14 year timespan.
