Small is better: Humanity in the village.
They say the world is a village, well it isn't. This is a village. The village of Portmahomack on the east coast of Scotland, on the Dornoch Firth.
In this village, as in villages from the first to the Third World, people need to work together, and when they do the humanity shows through in everything they do. Especially when they are under pressure.
They say the world is a village, well it isn't working. In the World village, there is a huge problem. Global Warming. Global warming is coming, but we argue, and worse still countries pick fights with their neighbours. It is outrageous.
They say there is no "Planet B".
If only the energy used to flatten Ukraine was put into saving us from Global Warming, the world might be a better place. Right now there is a great danger that whilst Russia flattens Ukraine soon there will be no UKRAINE, no RUSSIA, and no "PLANET A".
If only the energy generated by the UNITED STATES could use less coal and more renewables. But the Supreme Court and Congress are putting short term gain ahead of global Village.
If only CHINA would engage a little more....
We might all end up in that village....
