The Prop of Ythsie is a 25 m high square granite tower situated on top of the Hill of Ythsie, near the village of Tarves in Aberdeenshire. The top parapet is reached by climbing a spiral staircase of 91 steps, and provides excellent views of the surrounding countryside.
The tower was built in 1861 as a memorial to the 4th Earl of Aberdeen in recognition of the improvements he carried out for his tenants on the local Haddo Estate.
