What better place is there to examine one's heritage than at a museum? For a Texan, a good choice would be the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin. It displays Texas history with three floors of interactive exhibits. This view of the rotunda just inside the main entry shows the 40-foot diameter terrazzo design in the floor depicting a campfire scene with historical figures from Texas' past gathered around the fire. Circling the perimeter of the design are the words "Born Around the Campfires of Our Past - The Story of Texas".
