Due to the increasing distribution of cell phones most people don't need telephone booths any more. Being a common mean of communication just 30 years ago, nowadays the telephone booths are mostly waiting to be used...In Germany the old yellow telephone booths are continuously being removed due to a newer design.
These two facts made me think of the term forgotten place because I wasn't able to remember when I last used one of these yellow booths.
Making Of
The shooting was done handheld with the assistance of a Philopod. As the lens is a fisheye lens, four pictures easily cover 360°. To be sure I took three exposures at each direction. The exposures were 2 f-stops apart. The best exposed set was chosen before stitching.
Due to the use of a Philopd and the small dimensions of the booth I expected some stitching problems at zenith and nadir. Therefore I took an additional up and down shot.
- Camera: Sony Alpha 900
- Lens: Sigma 10mm f/2.8 fisheye (lenshood shaved)
- Handheld with Philopod
