This is a view looking over the top of Friar Gate Railway Bridge in the City of Derby, it was built in 1878 by Andrew Handyside and Co. and abandoned over 40 years ago. I doubt many people will have seen this view.The initial view you see is looking directly over the twin spans of the bridge which go over Friar Gate. As you rotate the panorama you will see the very overgrown area that was once Friar Gate Railway Station. There is a then and now photograph of Friar Gate Station here.
The last passenger train to crossed over this bridge on September 5, 1964. Thereafter the line was just used for goods services, Friar Gate Station itself closed on September 4, 1967. The last train ran over here in May 1968.

Equipment
Nikon D70 DSLR fitted with Nikor 10.5mm lens on a Nodal Ninja head. Stitched with PTGui, converted to Cube in Pano2VR, base of cube edited in PaintShop Pro X and equirectangle image finished in Pano2VR.
