A Panorama of 24 Hours

The idea was to make panoramas during the whole day of June 21st, the day of the Summer Solstice. Due to the fact that I was selling my Panoramas at the Artmarket at the Thorbeckeplein in Amsterdam on Sunday it was not possible to do it on the day during daytime. So I started at 11 in the evening and proceeded to make a panorama every 3 hours since then. So while this panorama was taken during 1 complete day, a panorama of 24 hours is made. Every time a total panorama of 360 degrees was taken in 2 rows to make a 360x180 panorama. Later the best suitable order was chosen and stitched. Because of the overlap the differences are equaled out. The Sun does not go below the horizon more then 18 degrees so theoretically there is no astronomic night. Due to the fact that in photography the exposure makes it possible to add all the light there is, there is hardly a real dark place in the panorama. It was great to experiment, although it was hard to leave my bed 2 times in the middle of the night. I chose a location at the pond where my house is standing, so just around the corner.
