In my youth I was always late.
Getting older I learned to live better with the concept of Time, but in that period it used to be almost a nightmare.
When I saw this harsh looking figure pointing at his wrist I hadn't doubts: who could have played the Time role better?
Sebastiano, the clock repairer, was very kind with me and let me make some shots: his shop in via Accademia Albertina is full of very interesting stuff.
He told me he even realized a clock that runs backwards (not shown in the photo) and it looks like he's very proud of it!
About the little man figure, it was originally placed in the window of an old gloves' shop in via Garibaldi: it isn't actually indicating a watch, but a perfectly fitting glove. Sebastiano has to repair the works of its moving parts (head and eyes).

In gioventù ero sempre in ritardo.
Invecchiando ho imparato a convivere con il concetto di tempo, ma a quell'epoca rappresentava quasi un incubo.
Quando ho visto questa statuetta dallo sguardo arcigno e l'indice puntato al polso non ho avuto dubbi: chi avrebbe interpretato meglio il concetto di tempo?
Sebastiano, l'orologiaio, è stato molto gentile con me e mi ha concesso di fare qualche scatto: il suo negozio in via Accademia Albertina è pieno di aggeggi molto interessanti.
Mi ha detto di aver perfino realizzato un orologio che cammina all'indietro (non presente nella foto), e si direbbe molto fiero di questo lavoro!
Riguardo alla statuetta dell'omino, si trovava in origine nella vetrina di un vecchio negozio di guanti di via Garibaldi: infatti non sta indicando un orologio, bensì un guanto che calza a pennello.
Sebastiano deve revisionare i meccanismi delle parti in movimento (testa e occhi).
