Situated 161 steps above ground, in a tower perched on a hill overlooking Cayuga Lake in Upstate New York, we find the Cornell Chimes. When school's in session, they play the Cornell Alma Mater, which can be heard on the soundtrack accompanying this panorama.
Far Above Cayuga's Waters
With its waves of blue,
Stands our noble Alma Mater
Glorious to view.
Lift the chorus, speed it onward,
Loud her praises tell.

Far Above the busy humming
Of the bustling town;
Reared against the arch of Heaven,
