Lake Delton was a man-made lake that was created in the 1920's at a higher elevation than the Wisconsin River. The "elevated" lake washed into the Wisconsin River because of flooding. Total erosion of County Road A created a new channel to the river and will have to be replaced. The dam held but the lake is now dry. No loss of life or injuries were reported.
