The opening of the "Künsterhaus Spiekeroog".
Located on the island Spiekeroog in the North Sea of Germany this is a small community of various artist that live here for a certain amount of time.
Besides are famous painters like Jens Rusch and other sculptors,goldsmith, ceramicists, dancer, musicians, photographers etc.
All these artist live in this Künstlerhaus togehter, inspiring each other and presenting their works.
Visitors walkt through differnet exipitions and they can anttend various courses.
The house is sponsored by Nils Stolberg, the holder of the "Beluga" shipping company. The opening was a great event: lots of visitors strolled around, artists showed their handcraft and politicians held speeches.
Since the house is located on an island, there is much privacy and calmness for the artists. Also little diversion so the artitsts can concentrate on their work pretty good.
