that were searching the land for food.
None was to be found, and the leader
was sinking in to a gloomy mood.
Suddenly, in the corner of his eye, he spotted something.
“Can this really be true?” he wondered “Or am I imagining?”
“Look over there!” he squawked to the others.
“No longer will we have to share and eat on a single berry!”
“That over there is the best sight we could wish for...”
“A ferry!”
They all flapped their wings in delight.
Nobody had to fall asleep hungry tonight.
And as the sun shone on their backs, they all knew that
from now on they would feast upon vegetables, bread and snacks!

After coming back home I started to copy the files from the memory card. Three files into the copying process the status indicator just froze. Just a temporary glitch was my first (hopeful) reaction.
Alas, my worst fear had been realized....a corrupt file!
I managed to salvage part of the corrupt file, but a huge chunk (about 40%) was missing. [See here] The most frustrating part was that it turned out to be the actual card that was corrupt, not just the file-system.
At first I thought this panorama was a goner, but after a good nights sleep I decided to use what I had and to rebuild the missing part. It wasn't easy. I've never Photoshoped like this on a panorama before, but the end result was very pleasing.
OK, I agree that it's not exactly what the original scene looks like, but better a panorama than no panorama, right?
Time to buy a new memory card... :-D
