The Villaggio Matteotti, workers' homes in Terni, was designed by the italian architect Giancarlo De Carlo in 1969/1972.
I photographed the Villaggio Matteotti in 1986, it was my first assignment for the Studio De Carlo.
Now, 20 years after, and one year after Giancarlo's death, I went back to see how this architecture was transformed by the time, and found that the small plants are now high trees, and the green is everywhere: seems as like a good wine this architecture improves with age...
Many words were said and written about this project, so I just want to dedicate this panorama to the memory of Giancarlo De Carlo.
Other panoramas about De Carlo's architectures, here.
