"Garden and Art". "Nagi's Ryoanji"

I think that real garden in itself is one art. In the splendid garden thought out, it is completely made nature and an inner space by a motif. It is often that I appreciate them like a picture mainly.

In addition, I want to introduce Contemporary Art of the interesting space which I can sense bodily for a sense of own body which used "Garden" for a motif separately from it here. It is a work to call "Nagi's Ryoanji" by "Arakawa+Madeline Gins" which Nagi Museum Of Contemporary Art includes. (The official name : UBIQUITOUS SITE, NAGI'S RYOANJI, ARCHITECTURAL BODY)

This work does "Rock Garden of kyoto's Ryoanji" which is one of the most famous gardens in a motif in Japan. It is made in the sloping huge cylindrical building "Sun". "Garden" turns over in pairs to be floating in the air, and it is made. As for us, it is it in a sense strange at all if we enter the big cylinder so that an author says "the first test site to open physical sensitivity to have".

Well, I put off that I think this and that, and I close one's eyes and take a deep breath and use the five senses, and please feel it. OK, let's enter in a big cylinder!

Nagi Museum of Contemporary Art is an individual art museum designed in 1994 by "Arata Isozaki" of an architect. This Museum was made I established installation art of three sets of creator "Arakawa+Madeline Gins" " Kazuo Okazaki " " Aiko Miyawaki " permanently, and to exhibit it.
