Caption
Tokushima City is built on a delta, its islets woven together by bridges and waterways. Its citizens can and do fish almost anywhere, often very close to home. Others stroll the increasing riverside walkway footage; some opt to take free NPO-run cruises around the main islet, Hyoutanjima. Waterfowl of all types can be seen throughout the city, and those who peer into the rivers can see , depending on the season, various aquatic life, including jellyfish.
