From the south and east, Freiburg is bordered by hills and mountains, on the slopes of which there are forests, orchard meadows and vineyards up to an altitude of around 350 meters.

This is the slope of the Schönberg, just below the Jesuitenschloß, where you have a beautiful view over Freiburg and to the right of Merzhausen (behind the trees).
