I have waited all winter for a cold day with hoarfrost. I was dreaming of something like this panorama, taken on new years day 2017 near Michelbach, but this winter we didn't see a single snow flake and only very few nights and no day with frost. Winters are definitely warmer than they used to be.
But not only the climate changes. I shot a panorama for the WWP in the same place in April 2018: Summer begins with cherry blossom. Since then the meadow is overgrown with brambles and wild roses. The cherry plantation is no longer maintained. In another place, the municipality has called for volunteers to take care of the trees, with the right to use the fruit of course, to preserve this unique and traditional mix of fruit trees in the meadows called "Streuobstwiese".
