Once upon a time a James Bond movie called On Her Majesty's Secret Service (released in 1969).
Located on the Schilthorn — 2970 m — Piz Gloria is the first revolving restaurant.
The movie production contributed financially to its completion and especially to the rotative mechanism in return for exclusive use for filming the movie.
We have a coffee break in the restaurant and as we were leaving my wife was surprised not to find her scarf that she had put at his feet a couple of minutes before. Thus because the part of the floor where she left this scarf was not moving unlike the one on which our table and chairs were standing ;-) It completely rotates in approximately an hour so it moves from 90 degrees in a quarter of an hour...
Taken with a Nikon D300 + Nikkor 10.5mm DX AF Fisheye mounted on a Nodal Ninja 3 MKI head. One row of six shots + zenith/nadir. Optimized with Photoshop/Camera Raw, stitched with PTGui and KRPano Tools.
