A small pad of concrete only 9.5 feet square is adequate to support a moderate sized astronomical telescope and an all-weather cover. At just under 8' in diameter by 8' in height, the SkyShed POD (Personal Observatory Dome) pictured here provides access to the telescope at a moment's notice and the extremely strong double-wall design offers security and protection from even the most extreme weather.
