This view of a Brown Booby and the sea birds of Michaelmas Cay was one of over seven hundred 360 VRs taken using a 'Theta S' during nearly five weeks travelling in Australia and New Zealand (see Blog link below for VR Tour).

Michaelmas Cay is part of a national park and is about 21 miles east of Cairns. It is one of the most important bird nesting sites in the Great Barrier Reef. There can be as many as 10,000 - 20,000 breeding pairs on the island at one time. Michaelmas Cay is a significant breeding site for ground nesting species like common noddies, sooty terns, crested terns and lesser crested terns. Sixteen species of seabirds are regularly observed. Access is limited to a small roped area on the beach for limited time each day.
