Seine River is flowing through Paris since many millions of decades, watering both
Rive Droite and
Rive Gauche.
Ten years ago the spot shown here was a lot different .
Luc Lefèvre, a french architect, won the architecture competition dedicated to
the site.
He was chosen to design a smart exterior and interior project to highlight the area near Seine River‘s banks and create a friendly place on both sides of the nineteenth century building which is used now as a bar and night club on the ground floor - river’s level - and as a restaurant on the upper street floor.
The set is completely part of the townscape; it is constructed using modular lacquered sheets of aluminium folded so as to create a high visual effect and a shaded arbour for people who want to rest, gaze at the river and dream, or simply have a lunch or drink.

For us French, the word decade has quite a different sense : it’s a period of ten days. For a ten-year period, we use the word décennie.
Contrary to some other photographers who have been contributing from the beginning, I’m not able to show a panorama taken at the same place ten years ago: I only began to get involved into VR photography eight years ago, even if I was already printing wide images from pictures made with gelatin-silver process .
My very first contribution dates back to september of 2006, for Transportation event.
