The Mariborski otok island is a unique type of river island in Slovenia. It lies in the immediate vicinity the Kamnica settlement, which from the centre of Maribor, in the direction of Koroška, is about five kilometres away. The island can be reached by setting off along the nice paths along the Drava River. The island itself is a lively recreation spot.
