Food self-sufficiency ratio in Japan is very low, it is caused by the high manpower cost and low price of imported foods.Under this situation, one of my friends is growing rice and vegetables by organic farming without agrichemicals. It is a very difficult trial as business in Japan of course.
This panorama was taken in the kitchen of a very old Japanese folk dwelling where the friend is living in. Not only the farming style but her life style is also old fashioned, in this house which was built about 100 years ago.
(By the way the guy and girl in this pano are friends of the friend who is the farmer.)

日本の食料自給率は大変低いのですが、それは高い人件費と安い輸入食品によっておきています。
その状況下で私の友人の一人は米や野菜を農薬も使わない有機農法で育てています。もちろんそれは日本でのビジネスとしてはとても難しいことなのです。
このパノラマはその友人が住んでいる古民家の台所で撮影したものです。彼女は農法だけでなくライフスタイルも昔風に、この100年ほど前に建てられた家で暮らしています。
（ところでこの写真に写っている二人はその友人の友人達で、当人では有りません。）
