FEIRA LIVRE
It's a kind of official Street Market. This kind of business happens everyday on a different street of Rio all year long.
They sell for a much lower price, since they carry their own "store" wherever they go. So they don't pay for rent, for light, for water and so on. :-)
Everyday they wake up around 3 or 4 AM and begin to take all their products to a new street where they will arrive around 5 to 6 AM and will stay selling until noon, when it's time to dismount everything to go back home.
Lots of Brazilians prefer to buy at those street markets because of the lower price and freshness of products. They sell vegetables, fishes, meat, chicken, and a bunch of other stuff, all very fresh and with good prices.
One bad side of this practice, is that when they leave, they leave a bunch of garbage all over the streets and the Mayor has to send working guys to clean up all of the mess and garbage from the streets. You all can guess the smell of all those fish. :-(
