
The Donington Grand Prix Collection

The Donington Grand Prix Collection is the largest collection of Grand Prix racing cars in the world. Five halls, with over 130 exhibits, illustrate the history of motor sport from the turn of the 20th Century. Cars include examples driven by such famous names as Nuvolari, Mansell, Prost, Moss, Senna, Fangio, Clark and Stewart.
The cars featured in this one image represent 68 years of motor racing history, the earliest is the Alfa Bimotore from 1936 and the most recent is the Williams FW26 which competed in the Formula One World Championship of 2004.
This is the list of cars seen here starting with the nearest upon loading the panorama which is a Williams FW14B (1992) and next, moving from left to right, is a Williams FW13B (1990), Williams FW12C (1989), Williams FW11B (1987), Williams FW11 (1986), Williams FW10 (1985), Alfa Bimotore (1936), Maserati 8CM (1939), Auto Union (1940), Lancia D50 (1955), Ferrari 500 (1952), Ferrari 312 (1968), Ferrari F1 2000 (2000), Alfa Typo 179 (1980), Toleman F1 (1984), Renault RE50 (1984), Hesketh 3080 (1975), Cosworth 4WD (1969), Lotus 63 (1969), Formula 3000 Lola (1999), LEC CRP1 (1977), March 701 (1970), Penske PC27 Champ Car (1999), Jaguar R3 (2002), Stewart Ford SF1 (1997), Williams FW26 (2004), Williams FW23 (2001), Williams FW22 (2000) and finally Damon Hill's championship winning Williams FW18 (1996).
