These ponds are part of the national focus on restoring the natural DIVERSITY of native populations in the face of destruction by invasive species.
Chinook Salmon, Western Pond Turtles, yellow warbler and the willow flycatcher are just some of the native populations that are at risk without areas such as the Delta Ponds.
