The Eugene Delta Ponds are located within the City of Eugene, Oregon, adjacent to the Willamette River and surrounded by urban development. The ponds occupy a historic side channel of the Willamette River, separated from the river by a levee. The ponds are now connected to the Willamette River through levees and channels.

The project encompasses more than 150 acres and will become an urban wildlife area of regional and state significance.

These ponds are part of the national focus on restoring the natural DIVERSITY of native populations in the face of destruction by invasive species.

Chinook Salmon, Western Pond Turtles, yellow warbler and the willow flycatcher are just some of the native populations that are at risk without areas such as the Delta Ponds.

Nikon D90, 10.5 Nikkor FIsheye lens, Nodal Ninja 3, Bogen tripod with Kaidan quick-tilt leveler.

Stitching process: iPhoto to organize photos, PTGui Pro, Photoshop CS3 to clean up the image, CubicConverter for final processing.
