1) On 29. January 1819 Englishman Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles landed along the river bank and set his foot on an unknown island that is today a small country and big city, Singapore. This date (after some contract negotiation with local representatives) remarks the BEGINNING of the settlement and harbor under the British flag. At that time there population was about 400, today it is 4 million.

2) I think most of the tourist day trips around Singapore find their BEGINNING at this must-see spot.

3) The spot also reminds me of my VR BEGINNING in Singapore in 2002 because the first VR's I created around that area. Maybe this wwp event is also a new BEGINNING for me to contribute after being offline for 2 years from wwp.
