El Kilómetro Cero, que marca el inicio de la medición de todas las carreteras de la República mexicana, se está representado por el monumento al cosmógrafo de origen alemán Enrico Martínez, cuyo nombre verdadero era Henrich Martin. Está ubicado en la esquina sur-poniente de la Catedral Metropolitana, en las calles de Monte de Piedad y 5 de Mayo. La estatua sobre el monumento es de una mujer que representa a la Patria y es obra del escultor Miguel Noreña (1878).

The Kilometer Zero, that marks the beginning of the measurement of all the highways in the Mexican Republic, it is represented by a monument made after the cosmographer Enrico Martínez of german origin, which real name was Henrich Martin. It is located in the south-west corner of the Metropolitan Cathedral, in the crossroad of Monte de Piedad and 5 de Mayo. The statue is of a woman that represents the mother country this is a piece of sculptor Miguel Noreña (1878).
