March marks the main lambing period for sheep farmers in the UK. The lambs in this pet pen were from an hour old to a week old. The ewes had either abandoned them or given birth to triplets or quads and couldn't look after them.

These lambs will be hand reared until they can be adopted on to other ewes that have either lost their own lambs or just had single lamb.

Many thanks to Arncliffe Farms who let me onto the farm to photograph the sheep and to my sister who also helped to organize this event.
