Plan A was dependent of weather, that is why I lost the first two evenings.
It was only sunny evening during shootting period. I was going to shoot mural of 20th century near the oldest building of Saint-Petersburg, place from which city had begun to grow. Sun position was not suitable for shooting, and to pass the time i slowly walked around the Cabin of Peter the Great. It was better than to warm the bench.
Traffic along Petrovskaya embankment was blocked by police and stream of cars turned to the left. I have listened sound of drums and have seen marching cadets in black uniform. It was one of separate trainings before already announced joint rehearsal on Palace Square on April 15, and humble pole was used instead of flag. I found suitable place in shadow of poster stand between marching cadets and brass band.
I could shoot 3 series of shots, one of series was good, but the last one was underexposed. Sensitivity was ISO 200, exposure time was 1/750 second, shutter was opened to f/5.6.
Sound was recorded one week later by means of old Pentax Optio 450 digital camera. My daughter Alexandra helped me to edit recorded WAV file to obtain audio file to play repeatedly.
