It was the last day of the WWP Spring Equinox shoot and I was to have dinner with friends at a nice restaurant. As it turned out, this would be my subject for the WWP Atmosphere event.

The social atmosphere of dining with friends at a famous New York City landmark restaurant became my challenge. We got seated at a nice table in the Crystal Room and dined through the twilight hour when day became night and for a moment the sky is in balance with the lights in the restaurant and garden.

The restaurant, Tavern on the Green in Central Park, NYC is quite ornate and oozes with much of the atmosphere that adds to a fine dining experience. It has been the backdrop of numerous Hollywood movies like Ghost Busters and Wall Street.

To add a twist to the picture taking, I gave the camera remote release to the wives around the table to photograph themselves, so this special panorama is also a series of self-portraits by the ladies.
