My original plan for the atmosphere theme was to take a picture of gliders. However the weather conditions were overcast for most of the shooting period and the gliders were not flying on the day I intended to take the panorama.

I ended up travelling up to Teesside and on to the South Gare at Redcar. This marks the point where the River Tees flows into the North Sea. In the picture you can see the Steel Works, once owned by British Steel. The facility was recently sold to the Indian owned Tata Steel.

Across the Tees the large building is the Hartlepool Nuclear Power Station.
