Oxygen is one of the two major components of our atmosphere air which is the only natural breathing gas. Oxygen is essential to the human body's metabolic process, which sustains life. Trees release oxygen to the atmosphere, converting carbon dioxide during a process called photosynthesis.

About one quarter of the atmosphere oxygen being produced is by terrestrial trees and other plants and the other three quarters by algae and green microorganisms in the oceans. That is why I've chosen a tree as an object for my panorama.

This is Ficus sycomorus, called also the sycamore fig, sycamore, or sycomore. Ficus sycomorus grows to 20 m tall and 6 m wide with a dense round crown of spreading branches. In the Bible, Amos 7:14 refers to the fruit of the sycamore. At Jericho, Zacchaeus climbed a sycamore-tree to see Jesus as he passed by (Luke 19:4).
