I noticed a hazy mist surrounding the island, not thick enough to stop visibility but enough to create an 'atmosphere'. I took a drive up the remote Druidale road and then I saw it - an absolutely stunning view as the sun was setting. The sky was unusually clear (for the Isle of Man) with a deep blue colour. The moon was clearly visible.
Ballaugh Glen is a pine plantation and one of several on the island. It has a river and a couple of small ponds home to many ducks and wild birds.
