War is perhaps the ultimate boundry. It seems ironic that we erect what we call war memorials when most are really tributes to individual courage, valor and sacrifice. This one was built by the Elks (a fraternal organization whose prinipal philanthropic thrust is to help veterans) after WWI and has been periodically rededicated to cover newer wars. It's a beautiful tribute.
Years ago I lived a few blocks from it and never went in it. The idea popped into my head when I was looking for a suitable project for WWP and happened to see some interior shots. It seems like it was meant to be!
