The Bruce Trail is a hiking trail that runs over 800 kilometers of main trails and an additional 200 km of side trails along the Niagara Escarpment between Niagara Falls and Tobermory. Dundas Peak is along one of those side trails and is part of the Spencer Gorge Conservation area.

From the escarpment brow, noted for its panoramas, to the forested depths of the gorge below, the Spencer Gorge/Webster's Falls Conservation Area exhibits the physical features which have made the Niagara Escarpment one of Ontario's most spectacular geological formations. This significant natural area contains two beautiful waterfalls: Webster's and Tews Falls. Webster's is a magnificent tiered waterfall and Tews, which towers at 41 metres, is only a few metres shorter than Niagara Falls. Both offer spectacular vistas of the gorge.

A nature trail allows access to the Dundas Peak, which provides stunning views of Dundas, Hamilton, and Lake Ontario in the distance as seen in the opening view of this panorama with the McMaster University in the foreground.

Equipment
A Canon EOS 5D with a Canon 16-35mm L series lens set at the 16mm setting was used on a Manfrotto 303SPH head. The cubic panorama was stitched together with RealViz Stitcher V4. This panorama was shot with available light at 1/125 of a second @ f 4 in Raw mode on the Canon EOS 5D. I made a series of 26 scenes or photographs. I processed all the images in the RAW conversion software Capture One Pro V3.7 from Phase. This software allows me to set the white point balance, drop the contrast, adjust the colour saturation, and fine tune the exposures before I create pixels. This process allows for a better workflow and cleaner files then correcting in PhotoShop. The images are then stitched together in RealViz Stitcher and the QuickTime panoramas are then converted from the flat tiff images
