The Hofvijver (Court Lake) is a small natural lake in the centre of The Hague. Various meeting rooms and offices of the Houses of Parliament, and the museum 'Mauritshuis' border on it.

Some birds proved to be very curious and not shy at all, and moved in closer and closer while I was taking my pictures.

At the time of shooting the lighting conditions were very awkward - heavily overcast sky except for one very bright area - but it was my only shooting opportunity.
